New Year’s Resolutions: What ranks first on your list?

Another year has come to an end and it’s time to reflect on our achievements and developments for the year that has gone by, as well as for the new one to come. It doesn’t have to be a long list but I am sure each and everyone of us has something to add on.

Ask Yourself

  • What went as planned this year?
  • What went better or worse?
  • How can we improve things going forward?
  • How can we further develop?
  • What can get us closer to our targets?

As we march forward into a New Year, it is a good time to make a meaningful conversation with ourselves about our personal and professional goals. We all have things we want to achieve and adding some time frames and deadlines can help us to accomplish these faster.

Sometimes, it is difficult to make big changes from one day to another but setting goals and making baby steps every day will help us achieve the desired outcome.

Here are some ideas for your New Year’s Resolutions:

  • Read more books
  • Change job
  • Eat healthier
  • Exercise more
  • Spend more time with family
  • Plan a long awaited trip
  • Start a new activity/sport
  • Register for a course to learn something new
  • Lose weight
  • Improve a skill

Set realistic goals with time frames

It is important to set realistic goals for which we have all the means needed to achieve them within the set time frame. Don’t overdo it with a long list as this can be confusing and will not allow you to focus on your top priorities. Keep your targets simple and clear!
